Role Overview

We are looking for a driven, experienced and self-motivated design development engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work in our development team, working closes with other departments, reporting directly to the Development Lead.

They will work across a range of projects and products including, but not limited to, pumps, valves, active suspension systems, compact integrated hydraulic power packs and advanced test rigs. The candidate will be given both specific and long-term goals within the project or projects they are working on.

Candidates will be remunerated with a competitive salary and will be given the flexibility of having every other Friday as a day off, promoting a positive work life balance.

Essential requirements:

  • Degree level education in Mechanical Engineering or closely related subject
  • Coding background in C, C++ and Python
  • Basic electronics knowledge preferable, able to understand and follow electrical diagrams and assemble simple circuits
  • Knowledge and experience of electrohydraulic systems highly preferable
  • Ability to generate detailed and concise reports
  • High level communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work proactively
  • Enthusiasm to succeed in the chosen career path
  • Desire for continual learning and improvement

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, assemble and test prototypes, and disseminate the results into clear and effective reports
  • Develop, operate and maintain the testing equipment and facility mechanics and electronics, manage software improvements
  • Work as a team across departments to mature products from prototyping to production ready and develop assembly and testing procedures to enable Domin’s production
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary and international team to deliver world leading products
  • Ensure a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and quality is enabled and maintained, in accordance with the company values.
